Ten years living in a different country is a milestone for me. There are so many memories when I’m looking back.  Some are amazing, some are painful; some mush together that I can’t even tell one from the other, and some are sad which make me tear alone at night. Sometimes I don’t even know how to identify myself because of the visa situation. I’m not Asian-American in the U.S., but I’ve been called Taiwanese American when I went back to Taiwan because of the way I look and the way I speak.  I guess no matter what I’m longing for, I always need to remember to embrace my own past so that I can find the balance and move forward. This is what “10 Years in the Making, 10 Years of Me” is about. 

And this project is for all of you who live outside your country of origin.
